When I was younger I spent a lot of time on online political forums, where I would pretend to be a left-wing Christian fundamentalist. I would say things like, “the hurricane is the result of America’s gradual dismantling of the social safety net,” or, “Sherman’s March to the Sea was the hand of God punching slavery in the face.” And the right-wingers couldn’t say anything, because my analysis had just as much proof as theirs.
